Anri Okhanashvili on Saturday announced his resignation as Head of Georgia’s State Security Service, saying he would continue his work as the Prime Minister’s adviser on national security issues.
“I would like to inform the public that, following consultations with the ruling team, I have decided to resign from the post of Head of Georgia’s State Security Service and assume the position of the Prime Minister’s adviser on national security issues”, he said in a social media post.
