Zelensky on NATO, G7 meetings in Brussels: today we’ll see friends, partners, traitors

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that his country is waiting for ‘significant steps’ taken following today's NATO extraordinary summit and G7 meeting in Brussels, noting that the events will reveal ‘who are friends, partners and who have betrayed us for money.’

"All politicians must support freedom. They must support the fight for life. We are expecting significant steps from NATO, the European Union and the G7. We know that Russians have already started lobbying for their interests. These are the interests of war. We know they are working with some partners," Zelensky said.

He stated that Ukraine will ‘stand firm on its positions’ during the meetings.

"We have not received aircraft and modern anti-missile weapons so far.  We have not received tanks, anti-ship equipment. Russian forces are able to proceed with killing thousands of our citizens, destroying our cities, just because there are too many invaders, just because Russia has been preparing for such a war for decades," Zelensky said.

US President Joe Biden will attend the meeting in Brussels today, while he will visit Poland tomorrow,

Poland has plans to request NATO to send peacekeepers to Ukraine to the areas which have not been invaded so far.

Russia says if NATO accepts the move,it would be the involvement in the war ‘which no one wants.’
