State Security Service arrests one in attempt to sell uranium for $2 mln

The Georgian State Security Service on Monday said its counter-intelligence department had arrested one individual in an attempt to sell uranium illegally.

 

The agency said the suspect was arrested in Georgia’s western city of Poti during his attempts to sell the radioactive substance for two million dollars. 

 

The crime is punishable by five to 10 years in prison.
