Elene Khoshtaria, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, has praised Tina Bokuchava for taking over as chair of the United National Movement (UNM) during what she described as the party’s “most difficult period”.
In a letter released from prison on Thursday, Khoshtaria thanked Bokuchava for their cooperation during a difficult period for Georgia, describing their work together as constructive and focused on achieving results despite political differences.
“Let us remember that Tina Bokuchava took over the chairmanship of the United National Movement during the most difficult period. Her courage deserves recognition,” Khoshtaria wrote.
She particularly praised Bokuchava’s work on the international stage, saying it had been important both to her and to a number of Georgia’s international partners.
She also wished the UNM success in any political formation that, in her words, would contribute to the “fight for Georgia’s freedom”.
