FM Botchorishvili: PM Kobakhidze attended dinner hosted in Trump’s name during UN General Assembly

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze attended a dinner and reception hosted in the name of US President Donald Trump during the UN General Assembly in New York, Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said on Wednesday.

“The Prime Minister attended a dinner and reception hosted in the name of President Trump, to which the Georgian delegation was invited,” Botchorishvili told journalists.

She said the Georgian delegation was participating in a number of high-level events held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, including discussions focused on developments in the region.

The FM further added that Georgian officials were also scheduled to hold meetings with heads of international organisations, including the UN Secretary-General and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
