Vashadze thanked supporters for attending the demonstration and said the opposition alliance would continue expanding its campaign across the country

Leader of Strategy Agmashenebeli Giorgi Vashadze has announced the launch of what he described as the second phase of a nationwide opposition mobilisation campaign under the slogan “Georgia deserves better”.

Speaking after Wednesday’s opposition rally in Tbilisi, Vashadze thanked supporters for attending the demonstration and said the opposition alliance would continue expanding its campaign across the country.

According to Vashadze, the first phase of mobilisation focused on the capital, while the next stage would involve broader outreach throughout Georgia and deeper engagement with citizens on social and economic issues.

He said the campaign aimed to demonstrate that the opposition represented a viable alternative capable of governing the country and addressing public concerns.

Vashadze also called for national unity and said the opposition sought to bring society together rather than deepen divisions.

Addressing supporters of the ruling Georgian Dream party, he urged them to compare statements made by the government and opposition and warned against allowing “a few dozen people” to determine the country’s future.

The opposition alliance held a rally in central Tbilisi on Wednesday evening following Independence Day celebrations.
