
The minister highlighted the importance of cooperation with UNESCO

Georgian Education, Science and Youth Minister Givi Mikanadze has held talks with UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education Qu Xing to discuss education reforms and future cooperation.
Mikanadze briefed the UNESCO official on reforms to Georgia’s general and higher education systems and outlined ongoing initiatives, according to the ministry’s press service.
The minister highlighted the importance of cooperation with UNESCO, saying the partnership helped Georgia share international experience and introduce best practices aimed at improving the quality, inclusiveness and accessibility of its education system.
Qu welcomed ongoing developments in Georgia’s education system and expressed readiness to strengthen future cooperation with the Georgian side.
The meeting was also attended by Georgia’s Ambassador to France and Permanent Representative to UNESCO Irakli Kurashvili.
