Georgian Education Minister Givi Mikanadze has addressed the UNESCO Education Transformation Summit in Paris, outlining the country’s ongoing education reforms, the progress achieved so far and the Government’s planned initiatives in the sector.
The Minister also underscored the importance of strengthening international cooperation to improve the quality of education and highlighted projects implemented in partnership with UNESCO, as well as future plans for collaboration.
The Education Transformation Summit, held at UNESCO headquarters, brought together education ministers and education leaders from around 40 countries. The event aimed to review progress made since the 2022 Education Transformation Summit and accelerate efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education.
During his visit to Paris, Mikanadze held bilateral meetings with UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany and UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education Qun Chen.
