Georgian Jajvani crowned European champion, sets multiple records at U20 Weightlifting Championships

Georgian weightlifter Goga Jajvani has become the European U20 Champion, winning three gold medals and setting new continental records at the ongoing European Junior (U20) Championships in Albania.

Competing in the 94 kg weight category, Jajvani lifted 149 kg in the snatch and 166 kg in the clean and jerk, securing gold in both events while also breaking European records.

The Georgian athlete went on to claim another gold medal in the total with a combined result of 363 kg, improving the European record once again.

Jajvani’s triple gold marks a major achievement for Georgia’s youth weightlifting programme, which continues to produce record-breaking performances on the international stage.
