Poor European leaders’ ratings reflect ‘wrong economic, political trends’, Georgian PM

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said declining public support for some European leaders reflected “wrong economic and political trends” across Europe.

Kobakhidze made the comments in response to a question from journalists about the results of a recent PSOS poll.

“Generally, there are serious problems in Europe. It is not really our business to comment on the ratings of leaders of other countries, but once again we should address the problems that exist across Europe. We are talking here about wrong economic and political trends. Naturally, the ratings recorded by various organisations’ surveys are a reflection of these problems,” Kobakhidze said.

He added that the issue of individual leaders’ approval ratings was ultimately a matter for the respective societies and countries.
