Georgian Prime Minister and Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze has criticised a resolution adopted by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, saying such documents undermine Georgian public trust not only in the assembly but in the OSCE as a whole.
Kobakhidze said the text of the resolution, prepared by US Congressman Joe Wilson, did not deserve an assessment and described its adoption as a “tragic development”.
“Unfortunately, such documents weaken Georgian public trust not only in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly but in the OSCE in general, which is very regrettable,” Kobakhidze said.
“We see that the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has descended to the level of Joe Wilson. This is a very tragic development,” he added.
Kobakhidze said the Georgian authorities would draw “appropriate conclusions” from the adoption of the resolution.
