The Space Summit addresses an issue of importance to global security, and Georgia is involved in decision-making on relevant matters through various international platforms, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in Paris on Thursday.
Kobakhidze is attending the first international summit on space issues at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.
“The summit addresses an issue that is important for global security. Georgia is involved in making relevant decisions through various international platforms. Therefore, it is important for us to hear different views and positions at this summit so that the country can develop the right positions on all relevant issues and make appropriate decisions in the future,” Kobakhidze said.
He thanked Macron for inviting him to the summit.
Kobakhidze also said he had spoken with several foreign leaders on various issues, including the situation in Georgia.
“Yesterday, I also had the opportunity to speak with several leaders on various issues, including the situation in Georgia. Naturally, we make the most of such formats for these kinds of discussions as well,” he said.
