US Vice President J.D. Vance is set to visit Armenia on February 9 for a one-day trip, Armenian media outlets have reported.

According to the reports, Vance will meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan as part of his visit.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said the vice president would travel to Armenia and Azerbaijan in February to continue peace efforts in the region and to advance the so-called “Trump Route” initiative.

Trump also said Washington intended to pursue what he described as an “excellent agreement on peaceful nuclear cooperation” with Armenia.
