Georgian police investigate suspected intoxication of Caucasus University students

Georgia's Interior Ministry has launched an investigation after several students at Caucasus University were taken to hospital with symptoms of intoxication.
The investigation was opened under Article 124 of Georgia's Criminal Code, which concerns causing less serious or serious injury through negligence, the ministry told Front News.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred during a Welcome Party held at Caucasus University.
An unidentified person allegedly put an unknown substance into an alcoholic drink, after which several students reportedly became intoxicated and were taken to a clinic for medical treatment.
