Commercial advertising revenue for Georgian television and radio broadcasters rose by 46.7% year on year to 25.8 million lari in the second quarter of 2026, according to the Communications Commission.

Television broadcasters accounted for 24 million lari of the total, marking a 53.5% increase compared with the same period in 2025.

The television figures do not include Formula TV, as the broadcaster did not provide the commission with the requested information.

Direct advertising generated the largest share of television advertising revenue in the second quarter, accounting for 83%. Product placement represented 10.6%, while sponsorship accounted for 6.3%. Commercial announcements and teleshopping generated 0.05% and 0.01%, respectively.

Radio broadcasters recorded a different trend. Their commercial advertising revenue fell by 7.9% year on year to 1.8 million lari in the second quarter.

The Communications Commission said commercial advertising revenue includes commercial advertising, sponsorship, product placement, teleshopping and commercial announcements.
