Levan Ioseliani, the Georgian ombudsperson, on Tuesday expressed optimism about the health of Patriarch Ilia II, who remains under medical supervision at the Caucasus Medical Centre.
Speaking at the medical centre, Ioseliani said doctors were doing everything to stabilise the Patriarch’s condition and help him recover. He also conveyed reassurance from medical staff, noting that the atmosphere among those caring for the Patriarch was positive.
“I wish the Patriarch good health. Many people are concerned about this news, and naturally, we all care about his condition. Doctors are doing everything to stabilise him and ultimately bring him out of this state. Let us hope everything will be fine,” Ioseliani said.
The Patriarch continues to be closely monitored by medical professionals at the centre.
