“The patient’s overall condition remains critically stable at this stage, with no signs of negative progression,” said Levan Ratiani, Director of the First University Clinic, regarding former Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Tornike Rijvadze.

According to the doctor, Rijvadze’s condition corresponds to the severity of his injuries.

“All necessary examinations outlined in the medical protocol are being conducted, and consultations with specialists from all relevant fields are underway. His condition is consistent with the seriousness of the injuries,” Ratiani stated.

Tornike Rijvadze was hospitalized on July 7 with a gunshot wound to the chest. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the incident is being treated as a suicide attempt. His condition remains critically stable.

In connection with the case, Aleksi Akhvlediani has been detained on charges of negligent storage of a firearm.
