Georgia government administration head, UN discuss sustainable development, public sector reform

Levan Zhorzholiani, head of the Georgian government's administration, has met senior United Nations representatives to discuss cooperation on sustainable development, public institutions and good governance.
The meeting was attended by Didier Trebucq, UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia, Douglas Webb, UNDP Resident Representative, and Kaori Ishikawa, UN Women Representative in Georgia.
The meeting highlighted the "productive cooperation" between the Georgian government and UN agencies.
The officials discussed progress in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and the priority areas of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2026-2030.
The meeting also focused on opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between the Georgian government and UN agencies.
The government administration said particular attention was given to Georgia's progress in strengthening public institutions, developing effective public services and promoting good governance.
