Georgian Foreign Minister: UN General Assembly Offers Opportunity to Deliver Georgia’s Key Messages to International Community

Georgia will use the United Nations General Assembly to communicate its key priorities to the international community and hold bilateral meetings with representatives of various countries and international organisations, Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said.

According to Bochorishvili, the Georgian delegation, led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, will participate in a series of high-level events and discussions during the General Assembly.

“The Georgian delegation will attend the UN General Assembly under the leadership of the Prime Minister. A number of events will take place, providing members of our delegation, including the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister, with opportunities to participate at various levels and communicate Georgia’s most important messages on the international stage,” Bochorishvili said.

She added that the gathering would provide an opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with representatives of other countries and international organisations.

“The UN General Assembly is an important platform that brings together world leaders. It will give our delegation an opportunity to hold meetings and discuss a range of issues of importance to Georgia,” the foreign minister said.
