French President Emmanuel Macron has said that the United States has officially aligned itself with Ukraine alongside its European allies.
According to Macron, for the first time, Washington has endorsed a text recognising itself not as a neutral mediator in the war in Ukraine, but as a partner of Kyiv.
The President stated that the document reflects the United States’ position alongside its European partners and Ukraine in four key areas.
“Regarding Ukraine, the United States has, for the first time, approved a text stating that it is no longer a neutral mediator, but stands with us in supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity, providing military assistance, ensuring energy support and maintaining sanctions against Russia,” Macron said.
