World leaders congratulate Georgia on Independence Day

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has received Independence Day congratulations from several world leaders, including Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, Japanese Emperor Naruhito, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Dutch King Willem-Alexander.

In his message, the Austrian President highlighted the importance of international unity and cooperation amid geopolitical challenges linked to Russia’s war against Ukraine, stressing the need to uphold peace, international law, democracy and human rights.

The Japanese Emperor extended his “heartfelt congratulations” and expressed wishes for the prosperity and well-being of the Georgian people.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman wished Georgia continued progress and prosperity, while Dutch King Willem-Alexander conveyed his best wishes for the country’s successful future and the welfare of its citizens.
