Georgian Health Minister, Global Fund official review cooperation and healthcare reforms

Georgian Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze on Tuesday reviewed the results of ongoing cooperation and discussed current healthcare reforms in Georgia during a meeting with Dumitru Laticevschi, Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Programmes at the Global Fund.
The Ministry’s press office said the parties reviewed the results achieved through ongoing cooperation and discussed current healthcare reforms in Georgia.
The meeting focused on state programmes for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and hepatitis. The sides also discussed Georgia’s status as a malaria-free country and the process of obtaining malaria elimination certification.
Sarjveladze and Laticevschi additionally reviewed prospects for expanding cooperation between Georgia and the Global Fund in the future.
