Georgian health minister meets Egyptian ambassador to discuss closer healthcare cooperation

Georgia's Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs, Mikheil Sarjveladze, has met Egypt's Ambassador to Georgia, Amal Afifi, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in healthcare and social policy.

According to the ministry, the introductory meeting focused on the ministry's activities and ongoing programmes, as Sarjveladze briefed the ambassador on current priorities in the health sector.

The two sides discussed developments in healthcare, opportunities to deepen cooperation in the medical field and the importance of exchanging expertise between Georgia and Egypt.

They also reviewed ongoing initiatives in labour and social protection and explored prospects for launching joint projects and expanding future cooperation.

Representatives of Georgia's Health Ministry and Foreign Ministry also attended the meeting, the ministry said.
