The mother of Temо Khaduri, a 23-year-old man who died in circumstances she considers suspicious, has demanded a meeting with Georgia’s Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze, saying she will continue protesting until the circumstances surrounding her son’s death are fully investigated.

“I demand a meeting with the Prosecutor General, Giorgi Gvarakidze, and no one else,” Nino Gvishiani told reporters outside the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Gvishiani called on authorities to hold police officers accountable and said she would continue protesting “as long as I have breath” in her fight for her son.

She alleged that Khaduri had been beaten before his body was found in a river, claiming that those responsible had deliberately attempted to conceal evidence.

“My son, Temо Khaduri, was an exceptionally pure and honourable young man. I will fight for him,” Gvishiani said.

Khaduri, 23, went missing on August 25, 2024. His body was found three days later, on August 28, in the bed of the Tsachkhura River by local residents.
