Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has claimed that there is a plan under which the European Union would become involved in a war by 2030, adding that European populations are being prepared for such a scenario.

“There is a plan according to which the European Union will enter a war by 2030, and their populations are being prepared for this. The EU has announced a transition to a war economy. Therefore, the period from 2026 to 2030 will be the most dangerous in our lives. The year 2026 will be the last election before the war, which is why we are holding anti-war rallies,” Orbán said.

According to the Hungarian leader, one of the main risks for his country is that funds intended for Hungary’s economy could be redirected to Ukraine.

“Ukrainians are asking for $1.5 trillion, which includes our money. If even a single EU soldier appears on Ukrainian territory without an agreement with Russia, that means we have entered the war. The EU leadership will not be satisfied with only half of the Union participating in the war — Brussels will put pressure on all member states to take part. That is why Brussels is our main opponent, not the [Hungary’s opposition] Tisza party, which has 27 members,” Orbán stated.
