Georgia's opposition United National Movement has not yet set a date for a new party congress, Secretary-General Petre Tsiskarishvili has said.
Tsiskarishvili on Monday noted all party officials would continue performing their duties until the new congress is held, despite their two-year terms expiring.
"In two days, it is not only Tina Bokuchava's term that expires, but the terms of all party institutions, because the congress was held exactly two years ago and we were elected by the congress for two years," he said.
"However, our party statute contains a provision stating that all officials and people holding these positions continue to exercise their powers until the new congress."
Tsiskarishvili said no date had yet been set for the congress.
The term of party chair Tina Bokuchava and other senior officials is due to expire on 8 July, after which the party is expected to hold a new congress and elect a new chair.
