Georgia's opposition United National Movement (UNM) will hold a meeting of its political council on Thursday to discuss preparations for the party's upcoming congress, Secretary General Petre Tsiskarishvili said.
According to Tsiskarishvili, the meeting will focus primarily on organisational matters related to the congress, including the procedure for selecting delegates and setting the date of the event.
"The political council meeting will mainly be devoted to preparations for the congress. The agenda will include issues such as the procedure for inviting delegates, the date of the congress and other organisational matters," Tsiskarishvili said.
He added that members of the political council from across Georgia had been informed about the meeting.
The United National Movement is scheduled to hold the political council meeting at 3:00 p.m.
