French Member of the European Parliament, Nathalie Loiseau, has voiced concerns over Moscow’s growing influence in Georgia, criticizing European leaders for failing to prioritize discussions about the country.

“European leaders in Budapest couldn’t find time to talk about Georgia. Moscow, on the other hand, found the time to put it under its thumb . We never learn,” Loiseau stated.

Her remarks were in response to journalist Rikard Jozwiak’s report, which noted that talks among European leaders regarding Georgia’s recent elections were postponed due to time constraints.
