Three Sisters Found Dead in Western Georgia; Food Poisoning Suspected

Food poisoning is being considered as a possible cause of death after three women were found dead in the village of Kulishkari, in western Georgia’s Zugdidi Municipality.

According to available information, the victims were three members of the Rogava family. Their bodies were discovered at their home by a neighbor.

“Three people have died. The exact cause of death will be determined by forensic examination. They were sisters. All three lived alone and were unmarried. A neighbor noticed a smell near the gate. They had not been seen for around four or five days. Everything has been taken for examination, including food and water. By the time I arrived, forensic experts were already at the scene,” said village representative Lado Shvelidze.

An investigation has been launched under Article 115 of Georgia’s Criminal Code, concerning incitement to suicide.
