15 students injured as school minibus crashes in Georgia’s Kvareli municipality

A minibus carrying 15 school students was involved in a road accident in Georgia’s Kvareli municipality on Thursday while transporting the children from Chantliskure to Akhalsopeli No. 1 Public School.
The accident occurred at a crossroads near the entrance to Akhalsopeli, where the minibus was reportedly hit by a passenger car. Two students sustained fractures - one to the hand and another to the collarbone.
Three students were taken to a clinic by emergency medical teams, while other students with minor injuries were taken to medical facilities by their parents and people at the scene for precautionary examinations. Local reports said all 15 students were assessed by medical personnel.
16 people, including the 15 students and one adult, were taken to medical facilities. An investigation has been launched.
