French election observer Pierre-Antoine Gilbert Victor on Saturday visited several polling stations in Georgia, praising the high standards of organisation and noting that they reflect the country’s strong democratic practices.

“Today I visited several polling stations, and everywhere I went, the organisation met the highest standards. This demonstrates a good level of democratic life in the country,” Victor said.

He also highlighted the role of citizens in the electoral process.

“I am very impressed, especially by civic engagement. There are numerous volunteers helping to ensure the smooth running of the elections. I think this is a good lesson for all democratic countries in Europe,” he added.
