Fico described the EU as facing “an unprecedented crisis”

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico has called for the resignation of the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, saying the EU needs new leadership to navigate current crises.

Speaking in an interview, Fico described the EU as facing “an unprecedented crisis” and argued that Kallas’s leadership has hindered the bloc’s ability to respond effectively to international challenges.

Fico also reiterated that Slovakia will not send troops to Ukraine under his government but will continue to provide humanitarian aid amid the ongoing war.
