Russia launched an airstrike on Kharkiv, targeting the Shevchenkivskyi district with two guided aerial bombs, according to regional governor Oleh Syniehubov. The number of injured has risen to 41, with six of them being minors.
Emergency services continue clearing the aftermath, with significant damage reported to residential buildings, a municipal facility, and vehicles—25 damaged and seven burned. One civilian enterprise was nearly destroyed, though timely evacuation after an air raid alert prevented further casualties.
As of now, six people remain hospitalized, including a 17-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl in moderate condition. One woman is reported in critical condition.
Kharkiv and surrounding areas in the north—particularly Kupiansk, Vovchansk, and Boryspil directions—remain under constant attack. In Kupiansk, strikes have destroyed water and gas supply networks, making repairs currently impossible.
Despite the threat, around 1,300 residents remain in Kupiansk. Authorities evacuate 10–50 people daily, offering humanitarian, legal aid, and temporary housing.
A total of 344 settlements in Kharkiv region are currently under evacuation status.
