The Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA) has denied reports that a court rejected a request submitted by the organisation, calling the claims false and misleading.

In a statement, GYLA said that on 22 January 2026 it was officially notified that the court had begun reviewing the organisation’s complaint (Case No. 6547/25).

According to the statement, the case relates to alleged widespread violations of ballot secrecy during the 2024 elections and was filed on behalf of two complainants: GYLA itself and an individual. The complaint was submitted on 21 February 2025.

GYLA emphasised that it never requested interim measures in the election-related case, and said claims of a rejected request are therefore incorrect. The organisation also noted that the court has begun consideration of two other election-related complaints.
