Georgia men's national handball team has claimed victory at the Carpathian Cup tournament with one round still to play.
Under the guidance of head coach Tite Kalandadze, the Georgian team secured two decisive wins: first defeating Slovakia 31–28 and then overcoming host nation Romania 30–27.
In the final match, Georgia is set to face Ukraine, which currently has no points, meaning the Georgian side will remain at the top of the standings regardless of the outcome.
After two rounds, Georgia leads with four points, followed by Slovakia and Romania with two points each, while Ukraine remains winless.
