Three people have been arrested at different times in Georgia on charges of illegally acquiring and possessing particularly large quantities of drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as facilitating their sale, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.

The patrol police searched the suspects, their vehicles and residential apartments in Adjara, Kvemo Kartli and Tbilisi. Drugs were also seized from several locations identified by the suspects.

The seized substances included methadone, mephedrone and dried marijuana, along with 182 tablets containing the psychotropic substance pregabalin, the ministry said.
