An Iranian citizen has been arrested on charges of attempting to illegally cross Georgia's state border using a forged document, according to the Interior Ministry.
The ministry said officers from the Patrol Police Department's Main Border Management and Coordination Division detained the man at Tbilisi International Airport while he was allegedly attempting to cross the border with a falsified document.
An investigation has been launched under Articles 19-344 and 362 of Georgia's Criminal Code, which relate to the attempted illegal crossing of the state border and the use of forged documents.
