Officers of the Main Division for Juvenile Affairs of the Tbilisi Police Department under Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a 1980-born Jordanian citizen, identified as S.A., on charges of domestic violence and committing indecent acts against family members.

The Ministry said the investigation had established that the suspect allegedly systematically committed indecent acts against his minor daughters.

Authorities also said that he physically abused the children and threatened to kill all three of them if they disclosed the abuse to others.

The suspect was arrested as a defendant following investigative measures carried out in the immediate aftermath of the reported crime.

The crime carries a penalty of up to 12 years’ imprisonment.
