Georgian interior minister meets public defender to discuss institutional cooperation

Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili has held a working meeting with Public Defender Levan Ioseliani to discuss cooperation between their institutions.

Deputy Interior Minister Aleksandre Darakhvelidze and the deputy public defenders also attended the meeting.

The ministry said the participants reviewed existing cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Office of the Public Defender and discussed opportunities to further develop their partnership.

Tamazashvili outlined the ministry's main areas of activity and current priorities, with discussions focusing on the importance of effective cooperation and coordination between the two institutions.

The two sides also discussed plans for future cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the existing partnership, according to the ministry.
