Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili met with the Director of Armenia's National Security Service, Andranik Simonyan, during his official visit to Armenia, the Georgian Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by members of the Georgian delegation, including First Deputy Interior Minister Roni Meskhi and Patrol Police Department Director Levan Maisuradze.
The sides reviewed regional developments and current security challenges, with particular focus on bilateral cooperation in border security and further strengthening coordination mechanisms to combat cross-border crime.
During the meeting, Tamazashvili underlined the importance of close cooperation between the two agencies and expressed Georgia's readiness to further deepen collaboration in areas of mutual interest, the Ministry added.
