Georgia's Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili has introduced Giorgi Sakhokia as the new rector of the Public Safety and Police Academy.
Tamazashvili presented the new rector to academy staff during a working meeting held at the institution.
The minister wished Sakhokia success in his new role and discussed the academy's key development priorities and future objectives.
As part of the visit, Tamazashvili and senior academy officials toured the academy's facilities, reviewed working spaces and familiarised themselves with the institution's infrastructure.
The Public Safety and Police Academy is responsible for the education, training and professional development of personnel within Georgia's law enforcement system.
