Georgia's first lady, Tamar Bagrationi, has taken part in the sixth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv, an international platform bringing together spouses of heads of state to discuss issues requiring high-level cooperation.

According to the presidential administration, the SFLG Global Platform was launched in 2021 and holds annual high-level meetings in Kyiv focused on issues of global importance.

Speaking at this year's summit, Bagrationi said Georgia's historical experience showed that preserving national values was essential to the resilience of a state.

"Our national identity is based on seven eternal pillars - God, homeland, people, mother tongue, land, faith and family," Bagrationi said.

She described family unity as one of the most important guarantees of Georgia's historical continuity and said that love of the homeland and God begins within the family.
