A large-scale housing complex for internally displaced families in Tbilisi is nearing completion, Georgia's Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

The modern residential complex comprises 11 buildings. Fully renovated apartments in four of the buildings were handed over to displaced families last year, while families are expected to move into the remaining seven buildings in the near future.

Landscaping and infrastructure works are currently under way to create a fully equipped residential environment. The project includes green spaces, sports grounds, children's playgrounds and exercise areas.

Deputy Health Minister Giorgi Tsagareishvili and David Kaikashvili, director of the Agency for Internally Displaced Persons, visited the site to inspect the progress of the works.
