Fire in Tbilisi claims one life

A fire on Tsintsadze Street in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi has resulted in the death of one person.

Authorities report the victim was a man in his 80s who was alone at home when the fire broke out.

An investigation has been launched under Article 187 of the Criminal Code, which covers the destruction or damage of another person’s property causing significant harm.
