Adjara Supreme Council Chairman Tsotne Ananidze says there is a "constant attempt" to mislead the public and portray the Georgian government as pro-Russian, arguing that the country's actions speak louder than political speculation.

"There is a constant attempt to mislead the public and accuse the government of being pro-Russian. However, reality is always stronger than political speculation," Ananidze wrote on social media.

He was responding to reports that Georgia had joined a United Nations statement supporting Ukraine.
