17 political parties apply for registration in Georgia’s upcoming local elections

Seventeen political entities have applied to the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia to participate in the upcoming local self-government elections scheduled for October 4, 2025. Of these, 14 parties have already been registered, while three applications remain under review.

The registered parties include: Georgian Dream; Strong Georgia – Lelo; For Georgia; Girchi; Alliance of Patriots of Georgia; Conservatives for Georgia; Homeland, Language, Faith; People’s Power; Georgia; Left Alliance; Georgian Unity; Green Party; Our United Georgia; and Free Georgia.

According to information published on the CEC website, the registration process is still being considered for Third Way, Party of Georgia’s Unity and Development, and Alliance of Democrats.

The local elections will take place on October 4.
