Another Georgian volunteer fighter, Lasha Broladze, has been killed in Ukraine while fighting against Russian forces, according to his fellow soldiers.
His death was announced on social media by Georgian fighter Giorgi Partsvania.
“Unfortunately, our fellow fighter Lasha Broladze has been killed. I extend my deepest condolences to his family and fellow soldiers.
The farewell ceremony will take place on October 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Volodymyr’s Cathedral in Kyiv, located at 20 Taras Shevchenko Boulevard,” Partsvania wrote.
Broladze had been in Ukraine since the spring of 2023, participating in combat operations against Russian forces. He was a member of the Black Eagle military unit.
In July 2026, a court operating under the Russian-backed occupation authorities in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic sentenced Broladze in absentia to 14 years in prison.
The circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been disclosed.
