On April 19, 2025, the Ukrainian Air Force launched a successful strike on a Russian drone launch facility near the settlement of Tyotkino in Russia’s Kursk region, according to Ukraine’s General Staff.

The targeted site was reportedly used by Russian forces to prepare, equip, and deploy various types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including reconnaissance, strike, and FPV (first-person view) drones. These drones were frequently launched to attack Ukrainian military positions and conduct surveillance operations.

The Ukrainian military stated that the airstrike eliminated up to 20 Russian UAV operators, describing the attack as a “tangible response” to ongoing Russian aggression.
