Georgian TV host Vakho Sanaia has been sentenced to 30 days in administrative detention over posts he published on Facebook.

The ruling was announced by Judge Tornike Kochkiani on Monday.

Sanaia did not attend the court hearing and declined to appoint a lawyer.

In August, the Formula TV presenter was sentenced to 14 days of administrative detention over a social media post concerning Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and MP Vladimer Bozhadze. He was subsequently released from a temporary detention facility after serving the sentence.
