Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday condemned Russia’s latest strikes on Ukrainian cities, calling them a deliberate crime by the Kremlin aimed at prolonging the war.
“Such killings now, when genuine diplomacy could have started long ago, are a deliberate crime and an attempt to extend the war,” Zelenskyy said.
He recalled Washington’s repeated warnings about potential sanctions in case of refusal to negotiate and stressed the need to implement all agreements previously reached in Paris.
Zelensky underlined that Ukraine expects the full delivery of promised air defense systems, noting that each additional system “protects civilians from these vile strikes.”
“The world can force the Kremlin criminals to stop the killings. Only political will is needed. I thank everyone who is helping us,” the President said.
According to Ukrainian authorities, Russia launched more than 800 drones and missiles of various types overnight against multiple cities, including Kremenchuk, Dnipro, Odesa, Kyiv, and Kryvyi Rih.
Zelensky also reported that several Russian drones crossed the border between Ukraine and Belarus during the attacks.
